The CEREC crown is made out of a very strong ceramic, it is highly durable, yet very esthetic and natural-looking. It is designed and created using computer-assisted technology. Using computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) to capture digital images of your tooth and jaw, we can design a crown, and then create that crown for installation — all right there in the office. No need for temporary crown and most importantly no uncomfortable oral impressions.

The procedure itself is very simple. All you have to do is open wide for the camera. The dentist will take digital pictures of the tooth that needs a crown, after they prepare it for such. The model is then created by using CAD/CAM technology to take those digital images and create a digital model of your tooth. The machine takes the model and creates, or mills, a 3-D tooth out of ceramic. The milling process only takes about 15 minutes. Finally we will polish the new crown and fit it in place inside your mouth.
As easy as that.
