Dental implants
and full-mouth
rehabilitation

A dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a crown, bridge or denture. The restoration aims to improve chewing and the appearance of your smile without necessarily relying on neighboring teeth.

Explaining dental implants with a model at the clinic

One foundation.
Three approaches.

At your first examination, we assess the available bone, the number of missing teeth and your needs to plan an appropriate restoration.

01

A single tooth

An implant and a fitted crown replace the missing tooth without relying on neighboring teeth.

02

An implant-supported bridge

Several adjacent missing teeth are restored on implants according to an individual plan.

03

Full-mouth rehabilitation

An entire arch may be restored on implants, depending on the condition of the mouth, bone and treatment plan.

Four stages, a clear plan

This is how treatment usually progresses. The stages, timing and cost are tailored after an individual examination.

01

Examination and 3D imaging

A clinical examination and three-dimensional imaging assess the available bone and nearby anatomical structures.
02

A written treatment plan

Implant position and angle are planned digitally, with an estimated timeline and clear costs.
03

Implant placement

Placement is carried out under local anesthesia, often in one visit. A flapless approach may be possible in suitable cases.
04

Fitting the crown

The crown is fitted after healing and implant integration. Waiting time depends on the bone and restoration plan.
Care shaped around you

What should you know
before an implant?

Before deciding on an implant, we assess your mouth, gums, bone and medical history. We explain the available options, whether preliminary procedures are needed and what to expect at each stage.

Suitability is determined at an individual examination. These signs alone are not a diagnosis.

A consultation explaining the treatment options

Before deciding, you receive an explanation of the options, treatment stages and costs.

The process usually takes several months. Timing depends on implant integration, any bone grafting needed and the type of restoration. After assessment, you receive an estimated schedule, including healing periods.

The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia, with an explanation of what to expect. Tenderness and swelling may occur for several days afterwards. You receive clear recovery instructions.

Brush and clean between teeth and around the implant as individually instructed, and attend the recommended reviews and professional cleaning. Implants need long-term maintenance too.

Bone grafting or a different restoration may be considered. A decision follows an examination and 3D imaging, based on what is appropriate and safe for you.
