Lip fillers

Hyaluronic acid lip fillers may add volume, define the lip border or improve differences between the lips. Planning considers the proportions of your face and smile and the change you would like to achieve.

An assessment before a facial aesthetic treatment

When might an assessment help?

Suitability is determined at an individual examination. These signs alone are not a diagnosis.

01

Naturally thin lips or volume loss over time

02

Asymmetry between the lips

03

Reduced definition of the lip border

04

Fine lines around the mouth

Four stages, a clear plan

This is how treatment usually progresses. The stages, timing and cost are tailored after an individual examination.

01

Consultation and planning

We assess your face and smile and discuss expectations.
02

Numbing

A topical numbing cream is used before treatment for comfort.
03

Careful placement

Filler is placed in controlled amounts and layers.
04

Review

We assess the result once swelling has settled and adjust the plan if needed.
Care shaped around you

Lip fillers planned around your features

The consultation covers suitability, the extent of treatment, limitations and risks. You can proceed gradually; adding volume is not a decision that needs to be made in advance. Temporary swelling may follow injection, so the final result is not assessed immediately.

Suitability is determined at an individual examination. These signs alone are not a diagnosis.

Duration depends on the product, area and individual response. At review, we assess whether further treatment is needed. Additional filler is not automatically recommended at a fixed interval.

Mild swelling and occasional small bruises are common in the first few days and usually settle. Follow the aftercare instructions and contact the clinic about concerning symptoms.

In some cases, hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved. Dissolving is itself a medical treatment with limitations and risks, so a decision is made after examination.

Swelling, tenderness and bruising can follow injection. Less common risks include infection and disruption of the blood supply to tissue. Unusual pain, a significant change in skin color or a vision disturbance requires immediate medical attention. The consultation covers your medical history, risks and follow-up instructions.
