Professional dental cleaning

Even with good brushing and flossing, plaque builds up in hard-to-reach areas and hardens into tartar. Professional cleaning removes it and keeps your teeth and gums healthy. Nitrous oxide or local anaesthesia can be added if needed.

Comfortable dental cleaning

A calmer visit, with nitrous oxide if you need it

If dental cleaning makes you anxious or your teeth are sensitive, nitrous oxide can be inhaled through a small mask to help you relax. You stay awake and responsive, and the effect wears off quickly once inhalation stops.

For increased sensitivity, the cleaning can be done under local anaesthesia, with a numbing gel applied before the injection. You can also agree on a hand signal to pause at any time and bring headphones with music.

Let us know when booking if you would prefer treatment with nitrous oxide or local anaesthesia.

Professional cleaning and polishing remove some surface stains from coffee, tea and smoking, but they do not replace teeth whitening.

Yes. A hygiene appointment with nitrous oxide can be arranged in advance, subject to medical suitability.
